Runway 7 Boutique – Returns & Exchanges Policy (Enhanced Protection Version)

At Runway 7 Boutique, we take pride in offering carefully curated, high-quality fashion and personalised styling services.

Due to the nature of our products—particularly formalwear and occasion pieces—we have a strict returns policy outlined below.

This policy operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Change of Mind Policy

We do not offer refunds for change of mind under any circumstances.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Incorrect size selection

  • Change of event or cancellation

  • Change of personal preference

  • Delays in event timing

  • Finding an alternative outfit

Where approved at our discretion, we may offer:

  • Store credit only (no refunds)

To be eligible for store credit:

  • Request must be made within 7 days of purchase (in-store) or 7 days from delivery (online)

  • Item must be returned within 10 days of approval

  • Item must be:

    • Unworn

    • Unwashed

    • Free from makeup, fake tan, perfume, deodorant or marks

    • In original condition with all tags attached

Store credits:

  • Are valid for 6 months

  • Cannot be redeemed for cash

  • Are non-transferable


2. Strict Formalwear & Special Order Gown Policy (Critical Section)

All formalwear, evening gowns, bridal, bridesmaid and special occasion dresses are:

FINAL SALE – NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES

This applies regardless of:

  • Change of mind

  • Event cancellation

  • Incorrect sizing selection

  • Delays in event dates


Special Orders & Gown Deposits

For gowns that are ordered specifically for a customer (including sizes, colours, or styles not held in stock):

  • A minimum 50% deposit is required to secure the order

  • This deposit confirms your commitment to purchase the gown

Deposits are strictly non-refundable

Once an order has been placed:

  • The 50% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including:

    • Change of mind

    • Event cancellation

    • Incorrect size selection

    • Delays or changes to event dates

This is due to:

  • Supplier ordering commitments

  • Custom or made-to-order production

  • Limited resale ability of ordered gowns


Balance Payments

  • The remaining balance must be paid prior to collection or delivery

  • Gowns will not be released until paid in full


Order Changes

Once an order is placed:

  • Changes to size, colour, or style cannot be guaranteed

  • Any approved changes may incur additional costs


Recommendation

We strongly recommend:

  • Attending a fitting appointment

  • Confirming sizing and colour selections carefully prior to ordering


3. Sale & Promotional Items

All sale, clearance, discounted, or promotional items are:

FINAL SALE – NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES

Unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.


4. Full Price Non-Formal Items

For full-price items that are not formalwear:

  • Store credit may be offered at our discretion only

  • No refunds provided

All return conditions in Section 1 must be met.


5. Faulty Items (ACL Rights)

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a remedy if an item:

  • Has a major fault

  • Is not as described

  • Is not of acceptable quality

  • Is not fit for its intended purpose

Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund (where required under ACL)


6. Return Assessment

All returns are subject to inspection.

We reserve the right to reject returns if:

  • Items show signs of wear

  • Items have marks, stains, scents, or damage

  • Tags have been removed

  • Items are returned outside the timeframe

Returned items that do not meet requirements may be sent back at the customer’s expense.


7. Online Orders

For online purchases:

  • Customers are responsible for selecting correct sizes

  • We encourage contacting us for sizing advice prior to purchase

Return shipping costs:

  • Are the responsibility of the customer

  • Are non-refundable

We are not responsible for items lost in return transit.


8. Hygiene & Condition Policy

For hygiene and quality control reasons:

Items will not be accepted if they show:

  • Makeup transfer

  • Fake tan marks

  • Perfume or deodorant scent

  • Pet hair or lint

  • Signs of wear, stretching, or alteration


9. Chargebacks & Disputes

By completing a purchase, you agree to this Returns Policy.

We reserve the right to:

  • Dispute chargebacks where this policy has been clearly communicated

  • Provide evidence of policy acceptance at checkout
